Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel & Spa - Aberfoyle (Stirling)

Absolutely loved the amazing views of the loch 🌲, and the spacious Beautiful King Room. One downside was the outdated furnishings in common areas.

The room was delightful and magnificent, though the view it had was not so great. The bed, it was relaxing.

very well appointed building and rooms with beautiful decoration. great view from the window to the lake. incredible location in a separate restaurant what it did n't say, savoury breakfast. and short walk to the restaurants for dinner and breakfast, tourist spots and banks of loch are.

The fine decor throughout the hotel radiated warmth and charm. Plus, the spacious common areas were a breath of fresh air, easy to navigate while enjoying the surroundings.

Quaint hotel with attentive staff on another staff member and reliable Wi-Fi. The continental breakfast with incredible food, nice restaurant.

The location is stunning, on the loch.

Consider exploring the local hiking trails for stunning views and unique flora. it's an experience that enhances your stay immensely.

The staff was awesome, provided an early check-in and a late check-out. The location of the hotel was secluded, very close to Loch Ard, the restaurant. Plus there was a lake, within 10 minutes walk or so.

Unfortunately Wi-Fi was slow.

The scenery was fine, with amazing views of the loch. The restaurant offered delicious food and great ambiance. Our room was spacious and comfortable, ideal for a couple's retreat. The spa was a welcome relaxation spot after outdoor activities. A nice experience 🌲

The friendliness of the staff and their helpful attitude

The hotel is looking a bit "tired" and could do with a makeover in places. Our room for instance was not what we would consider and "executive room". It sets itself out as a 4* luxury hotel but on first glance in some areas this is not what you see. This is in some ways related to the age of the building.

The room was fantastic, good size and clean. Staff were very polite and friendly, were more than accomodating with the trecherous weather over that weekend.

The only adverse comment would be the check in time. I believe 15.00 is too late a check in. I only stayed for the night and feel that by the time we checked in it did not allow much time before the weather faded to explore the glorious surroundings.

The lack of mobile signal meant that one of our party had to use the hotel phone to contact her father who wasn hospital. The charges for using theis phone I felt were excessive, considering you had no choice due to lack of mobile signal.
